Job Duties

  • Enhance and Maintain HD-Map Infrastructure: You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our high-definition mapping pipeline, ensuring it operates seamlessly on a distributed cloud infrastructure. This includes optimizing performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop Lidar Localization and Sensor Fusion Subsystems: Actively contribute to the advancement of lidar localization and sensor fusion algorithms, enhancing the accuracy, reliability and safety of our autonomous vehicles.
  • Develop Geospatial Data Visualization Tools: Create sophisticated tools for visualizing HD maps, aiding other teams in understanding and utilizing these maps effectively.
  • Quality Assurance of HD Maps: Regularly update and maintain the quality of HD maps, especially in challenging locations, to support operations that require the most current and accurate data.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other engineering teams, providing them with essential HD maps and localization artifacts, ensuring their requirements are met accurately and efficiently.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in autonomous navigation and apply these advancements to our systems and processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (foreign equivalent acceptable).
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
  • Expertise in lidar localization and sensor fusion algorithms.
  • Experience in C++, Python, Go, Typescript.
  • Familiarity with Docker containers, Kubernetes, AWS, and Argo Workflows.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Technical aptitude. Accurate and precise attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of working effectively in a team environment, collaborating with various departments to achieve project goals.
  • Eagerness to learn and implement new technologies and methodologies to improve project outcomes.

Please note that the office is located in Austin, TX. At this time, the employer is not sponsoring candidates relocation and remote work options are not available.
