Job Duties

  • Development of object detection algorithms in the context of autonomous driving.
  • Implementing detection algorithms enabling autonomous vehicles to recognize various road objects (vehicles, pedestrians, traffic signs, obstacles, etc.).
  • Ensuring high precision and power efficiency in detection algorithms.
  • Deploying implemented models to production.
  • Bringing cutting-edge advancements in the field of perception to autonomous vehicle production.
  • Reviewing state-of-the-art research papers in computer vision and machine learning.
  • Conducting experiments based on the academic papers.
  • Identifying the most relevant scientific works for autonomous vehicle perception based on the obtained experimental results.
  • Implementing promising approaches and deploying them in autonomous vehicle production.
  • Sensor data fusion.
  • Integrating data from diverse sensors (lidar, camera, radar) to enhance object detection quality.
  • Development of perception metrics system.
  • Code review.
  • Reviewing colleagues’ pull requests, checking code accuracy, and proposing fixes when necessary.
  • Assessing component architecture in pull requests and suggesting improvements.
  • Presenting object detection development results in team meetings and discussing future goals and milestones.
  • Analyzing feedback from the Quality Assurance team.
  • Discussing potential bottlenecks and issues in perception technology.
  • Implementing solutions to prevent future issues.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience in software engineering.
  • Proficient knowledge in Machine Learning.
  • Thorough understanding of Computer Vision algorithms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python.
  • Profound knowledge in Linear Algebra, Calculus, and Probability Theory.
  • Proficiency in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Strong grasp of the workings of an autonomous vehicle’s pipeline.
  • Demonstrated skills in reviewing scientific papers and implementing suggested algorithms.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data obtained from sensors such as lidar, RGB camera, and radar.
  • Demonstrated work experience in big data processing technologies (e.g., Spark).
  • Demonstrated work experience in version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Demonstrated work experience in virtualization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proven experience in data analysis.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
