Job Duties

  • Definition of product quality targets, metrics, and KPIs: lifecycle time, durability, mean time between failures, mileage, etc.
  • Markets of presence investigation: climate, operational conditions, customer behavior, etc.
  • Definition of product specification: operational temperature range, relative humidity, vibrations bandwidth, solar and water resistance.
  • Components technical parameters definition – surface treatments, durability level, etc.
  • Designing test programs and test cases. Simulation of robot operational behavior within test facilities and laboratories.
  • Develop and conduct various test programs: temperature shocks, ingress protection, vibration shocks, electromagnetic compatibility, electrostatic discharge.
  • The main principle is to assure that product test results are according to design: plastic doesn’t crack, metal is not corroded, electronics are protected from water and dust, etc.
  • Preparation of test reports, managing failures, negotiations within cross-functional teams. Suggest design changes and recommend solutions.
  • Development and integration of quality requirements into mass production assembly flow. Design test equipment and procedures to control manufacturing and vendors quality.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in automotive, mechanical engineering, or similar.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in automotive or robotics.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards, test procedures, and methodologies: International Electrical Commission 60xx, ISO 9001, IATF 16949.
  • Strong knowledge of product development methodologies (automotive is preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of professional testing tools and equipment: thermal chambers, vibration benches, electromagnetic chamber, and other proving ground facilities.
  • Skills of guidance and coaching of 3rd party testing laboratories.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Cross-functional player with the ability to unite stakeholders to meet targets and deadlines.
