About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cartographer to join our team and take on a key role in compiling high-resolution maps for autonomous vehicles. You will be responsible for both compiling and correcting maps, ensuring accuracy and consistency, as well as contributing to the development of a custom map format tailored for self-driving technology. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge mapping solutions that directly impact the performance and safety of autonomous navigation.
What You'll Do
- Сompile and edit maps for autonomous vehicles and delivery robots
- Provide a complex feedback on created maps
- Respond to map-related requests from colleagues across different departments, supporting their needs with accurate geospatial data
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Cartography, GIS, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in mapping, GIS, or a similar role
- Proficiency in ArcGIS or QGIS
- Strong skills in digitization and spatial data processing
- Experience in image interpretation and remote sensing
- Basic knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write simple queries
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with repetitive tasks efficiently
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a focus on efficiency and teamwork
Nice to Have
- Experience with HD maps for autonomous driving
- Knowledge of geodesy and experience working with DTM
- Experience with Linux environments, Git and version control
- Basic understanding of Python
- Experience working with OSM data and tools like iD and JOSM
- Strong analytical skills
