About the Role

We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Automotive Mechanic to install and maintain additional equipment for self-driving cars. You will focus on sensor integration, mechanical assemblies, and occasional wiring tasks, ensuring vehicles meet high standards of quality and safety. Experience with electric vehicles is a plus.

What You'll Do

  • Assemble & Integrate Components: Install specialized hardware modules, sensors, and wiring harnesses when needed, ensuring safe and neat integration.
  • Perform Maintenance & Repairs: Diagnose and address electrical or mechanical issues in our autonomous vehicle fleet.
  • Sensor Installation & Calibration: Install, replace, and calibrate sensors (e.g., LiDARs, cameras, radars) to ensure optimal performance.
  • Vehicle Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot various technical problems.
  • Ensure Quality & Safety: Maintain meticulous attention to detail, adhering to industry best practices and safety standards.

What You'll Need

  • Automotive Experience: Minimum 3+ years as an automotive mechanic, with exposure to both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Hands-On Expertise: Familiarity with assembling components, installing sensors, and performing basic wiring tasks.
  • Diagnostic Proficiency: Comfortable using diagnostic tools and measuring equipment for troubleshooting.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, sharing insights and resolving issues.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Logical thinking with creativity in addressing unique challenges.
  • Attention to Detail: Commitment to high-quality workmanship and safety.

Nice to Have

  • Soldering Skills: Experience with soldering and related techniques.
  • Electric Vehicle Experience: Prior hands-on work with EVs or hybrid systems.
  • Advanced Computer Knowledge: Familiarity with computer hardware components and their interactions.
